Nitrogen Generators

LC/MC Nitrogen Generators

LC/MS nitrogen generators are specifically designed to meet the gas flow, purity and pressure requirements of the latest generation of LC/MS instruments.

Flow rates range from 12L/minute to 40L/minute and provide total flexibility to allow single or multiple instruments to be supplied.

Utilising the pressure swing adsorption technique, the generators provide a continuous stream of clean, dry nitrogen without the need for secondary purification and are fully compatible with all known APCI and ESI interfaces.

Models featuring integral oil-free compressors give increased security of supply, completely removing the reliance on external air supplies.

MAXIGAS Nitrogen Generators

The MAXIGAS range of nitrogen generators has been developed to allow users to produce their own supply of nitrogen gas on-site, without the need for traditional high pressure cylinder or liquefied gas supply.
A domnick hunter Maxigas nitrogen generator can very easily form the basis of a complete central nitrogen supply, furnishing multiple analytical instruments with clean, dry nitrogen.

The MAXIGAS generators produce nitrogen gas from a virtually free resource – air.  Designed to operate from compressed air, the generators deliver a continuous, uninterrupted supply of nitrogen gas at purity from 97%-99.999%.

The MAXIGAS systems offer the safest, most convenient and economic source of nitrogen available. The compact, modular design allows easy upgrading of the system as production capacity expands.

At 10 ppm oxygen content flow rates vary from 1.3 Nm3/hr to 6.5 Nm3/hr.  At 1% the corresponding flow rates available are 11.8 Nm3/hr – 59.1 Nm3/hr.

Buffer vessels can also be supplied if required to form a complete system.

Midigas Nitrogen Generators

The MAXIGAS MIDI range of nitrogen generators produce nitrogen gas from a virtually free resource – air.  Designed to operate from compressed air, the generators deliver a continuous, uninterrupted supply of nitrogen gas at purity from 97% - 99.999%.

The units are ideally suited to applications requiring a slightly higher flow of nitrogen such as ICP-OES, multiple LC/MS instrument installations and sample evaporation.

The MAXIGAS MIDI comes in two sizes; The N2MID350 and the N2MID 600 and are available with or without an integrated compressor.  The units can be configured to do a wide range of purities / flow rates.  See table below:

A buffer vessel may be required depending on the application.

Nitrogen Generators for Blanketing

Nitrogen's inert properties make it versatile enough for many quality and safety related operations. Its inability to support combustion makes nitrogen gas ideal for blanketing operations. Nitrogen is used to displace oxygen in storage tanks and process vessels to reduce the risk of explosion of volatile materials or to prevent the degradation of perishable goods. MAXIGAS nitrogen generators find application in the storage and processing of products such as adhesives, inks, paints, cosmetics, petrochemicals and many more.

Cost savings
Producing nitrogen from compressed air with MAXIGAS can cut your operating costs significantly. No on-going cylinder costs, ie rental, re-fill, delivery or order processing

Convenient, secure supply
With MAXIGAS, the gas you need is always available on demand, 24 hours a day, eliminating the risk of lost production time due to running out of gas

The right purity
MAXIGAS systems deliver the nitrogen purity your application needs - from 97% to 99.999%. Why pay for high purity if you don't need it?

Space saver
The small footprint of MAXIGAS means that our installations take up less floor space than other systems, allowing you to use it for what it's meant for - producing products and making money

No growing pains
domnick hunter's unique modular design means you can simply add extra banks of MAXIGAS as your business grows and gas requirements change

The safest supply
No worries about safety hazards of storing, handling and changing of heavy high pressure cylinders and no large volumes of cryogenic liquefied gas on site
